wont startup

xp became corrupted so wont boot and i need to use
recovery to reinstall it, but when i put in the disk (any
disk-i have startups from every version and the priginal
xp cd) the keyboard is inactive. nothing i type is
registered so i cant press R to recover. The keyboard
works fine if i go to my chip's setup so sth is happening
after this stage- Please help!

Perhaps your keyboard is USB, borrow a PS2 keyboard until you've done the
reinstall !
