I had a bitmap that I wanted to name "aux" (short for auxilary), but it
wouldn't let me... Is there a glitch with this "aux"? I can rename it
whatever I want except aux. Now isn't aux a file type also? Is that why it
won't let me call it aux because there is a file type called aux? Does that
mean there's a glitch in Windows that won't let you name a file something
that an extension exists? But then again, I tried testing this theory and
typed bmp (BMP, bmp, and Bmp to see if it was case sensitive) and it let me
rename the file to that... There was some other file extension name that I
typed in that wouldn't let me change it either... By the way, I'm not
putting a "." before the name! Is this a known problem.

Hi Travis,

The following reserved words cannot be used as the name of a file:
CON, PRN, AUX, CLOCK$, NUL, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4,
COM5, COM6, COM7, COM8, COM9, LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, LPT4,
LPT5, LPT6, LPT7, LPT8, and LPT9.

OK Thanks... So some kind of a port for the most part...

I don't know why that one reply to the post occured twice.. It told me
there was an error with sending the post the first time, so I tried it
again, and both of them sent anyway...
