wont let me get INTO GAME

i have battlefield 1942 installed on my computer, i have not used it for a few months, i try to play it now, but when ever i try to get into the game it says, LOADING ERROR - COULD NOT FIND FINGERPRINT. now, i dont understand what that is about, so i thought i should re install it, but once again it will not let me uninstall it, it says, LOADING ERROR - COULD NOT FIND FINGERPRINT. hmm, i dont know what to do, can someone help me??? please help me

The issue is most likely caused by corrupt media.
EA Games Support will be able to resolve this for you.
It's an error message generated by the copy protection
