If you have XP home, you have the 32 bit version.

SP2 is available on Microsoft's web site.

WinXP 64 bit edition is still mostly in beta testing, so I'm relatively
sure you have the 32 bit version.

Peter: WTF?

SP2 is for the 32 bit version of Windows XP (Home, Pro and Media Center
Edition). If you have an AMD 64 bit processor, and are running the BETA
version of WindowsXP 64, you cannot install SP2, as it will halt when you
try and tell you that you cannot install it on the 64 bit version.

I have no Idea where Peter got his info from, but SP2 and WindowsXP 64 are
in no way related, and SP2 is not needed and cannot be installed on the 64
bit version of Windows.
