Hello,
Free WMA to MP3 Converter 1.16
http://www.wma-mp3.org/

what I really dislike, the product and the website ignore
the existence of DRM restrictions in WMA files. You cannot
convert restricted files (from Napster for example) with
this tool (or others either), but this tool does not tell
you about this restriction. In case it advises me: "You
need to update your DirectX to version 8.1 or higher" -
i have version 9 installed. Worthless information.

Do you know any free software to convert wma to mp3?

You lose a lot of sound quality if you convert from one lossy format
to another.

I don't think you lose much if you convert to a more compressed file. e.g.
you probably will not hear much difference between a wav file converted to
64kb/s mp3, and a 192kb/s mp3 converted to 64kb/s.

Interesting. I too need to convert from WMA to MP3.

The point made here brings up all sorts of questions about sampling
rates amd interpolation between the values of particular sample.

MP3 and WMA use different algorithms for compression. Concersion from
one compression format to another involves a 2X loss of (different)
information.

Hello,
Will it convert .WMA to .MP3?

I think so. Translated from my german version:

Right click > Send to... > Folder (converting)

Even the error message on DRM files is okay ;-)
