I have several songs in the .wma (WinAmp) format and would like to change
them to .mp3 because I prefer Windows Media Player instead of WinAmp to
listen to them. Is there a converter available?
TIA

wma is a Microsoft media format. I think you've got the file
association altered so Winamp plays .wma files.

Open up Windows Media Player. Go to Tools, Options. Click on the File
Types tab and either click on Select All or make sure wma is ticked.

Strangely, when I downloaded the song, it was specified as a WinAmp format
file, even though it has a .wma extension. I had WMP configured to play all
..wma files, but the song in question always invoked WinAmp. I had to uncheck
..wma in WinAmp to get WMP to play it. Weird!
