I have many WMA files recorded from CD at the Best Quality
Audio at 86 mb per cd (192KBPS). What will happen to the
quality of the files if I change them from WMA to mp3
files? Anyone have thoughts?

Also does anyone know of a solid program that will batch
convert according to the question above?

The sound will be worse then if you re-ripped the CDs.
lossy + lossy = double-lossy!

Seriously though, I have ripped CDs in RealPlayer 10 as 192Kbps AAC files that
were originally created from tracks purchased from the RealPlayer Music Store.
I have been perfectly satisfied with the sound. As always, it depends on the
source material. These tracks were recently remastered, which, even in a
compressed form will often sound better than the CDs originally released in the
80s. Of course, RealPlayer 10.5's new Harmony technology will convert purchased
tracks into a format that is compatible with your player.
