I need help,

I wish to upgrade from windows millemium to windows XP. But, everytime that
I try to open the microsoft page, I receive this message:

" lexplore a provoqué une erreur dans MSHTML.DLL le programme lexplore va
maintenant être arrêté. Si vous continuez a rencontrer des problèmes,
essayez de redémarrer votre ordinateur. " and then the page shuts down every
single time. Therefore, it is impossible for me to download any kind of
upgrading program.

Is there anything I can do ?

I spoke too soon.....

As soon as I try to go any futher on the page, the error message MSHTML.DLL
appears and the page shuts down.

I guess I need to buy a new computer. What do you think ?

You can try downloading and installing Firefox as an alternate browser:
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

Using Firefox may allow you to download the updated version of Internet
Explorer.
By the way, what are the system specs on your computer (Processor type and
speed, amount of memory, Etc).

Mission accomplished..

I would like to thank you. I've learned more in two days than I have in five
years.

One last bit of info:
I'm not certain that you can download and install the numerous security
patches that have been released since IE 6 SP1 was made available. If you
can not (I don't have Windows ME and to the best of my knowledge it's not
longer supported by Microsoft) gain access to the updates/patches for IE6
then you might consider using Firefox as your main browser, it has a good
record for security and fast fixes are usually made available when flaws are
discovered. Firefox also has a number of 'Plug-ins', which enhance the
browser's capabilities, one of which makes it function more like Internet
Explorer.
