Hello,
I've scoured the net trying to find a solution but haven't had any
luck thus far - so thought I'd post here to try and get some help.

I have a wireless hub, which is also my ADSL connection and acts as a
DHCP. IP is 192.168.0.1

Machine A has a wireless card (IP for now is 192.168.0.2 but can
naturally change depending on DHCP assignment) and a Ethernet card.

Machine B has a Ethernet card and is connected to Machine A via a
cross over Ethernet cable. Machine B desperately needs Internet
connectivity!

If I enable Internet Sharing on Machine A, it tries to assign
192.168.0.1 which then fails as that address already exists.

Is there a guide somewhere how to get this thing set up? (I have some
other machines connected to the wireless network).

Thanks,

Al.

The best solution, if you can do it, would be to wire Machine B
directly to the wireless hub.

If that isn't possible, create a network bridge on Machine A,
combining its wired and wireless network connections. I've written a
web page with details:

Thanks for the msg Steve.

Tried that before (found your page in a web search). Bridging the
connections causes the machine with wireless to stop accessing the
Internet.

I gave up after a while.

Went back to a program I used to use a while ago called Analogx Proxy
- working a treat!!!

Thanks anyway,

Al.
