Tried to set up a small Home Network using a WIN 98SE
Desktop as provider of resources ( printer, scanner, Zip
drive, files etc and using a Wireless Router as Network
Router and Internet Gateway to high speed internet.
Set up the WIN 98 Computer and Wireless Router using the
Router Manufacturers (LINKSYS) instructions. I then used
the WIN XP Network Setup Wizard to set up the WIN XP
Laptop. To my surprise and delight everything worked. But
my happiness was shortlived. After I made some simple
changes in printer configuration, I lost control. For the
last three days I have not been able to do printer
sharing, no matter how many times I reinstall and re setup.
Unfortunatelynthere is no documentation around that covers
use of WIN 98SE, and WIN XP working together in a small
network. I am not greatly sophisticated in WIN XP. So my
problem is what subtleties am I missing here? Any comments
would be appreciated.
