Hi, I've got a Belkin wireless router that I'm trying to
connect to my cable internet connection. However, I'm
having a little trouble with it and I was wondering if
someone could assist me.

According to my internet provider they told me that the
problem seems to be with the built-in firewall of the
router and they said to disable it but, I have no idea
how to do this.

Could some please help me.

Hi,

Go check the manual of your Belkin Wireless Router, and look into how you
can log into the setup of your router.
Once you get in there try to look for an area in Security where there might
be the built-in firewall option, then turn it off.

when you open the router homepage, double click on firewall, then disable, apply settings and reboot the router

I'm not even getting that far. All I get is 'Unable to
display page'. I checked with my ISP and they said the
connect is there but, it's the router not letting me out
to the internet. Its driving me crazy....

So basically I can't get to any homepage to even try to
disable it. Is there another way?

Hi Gary,

The Manual tell me that I can do it from the Belkin
homepage. But what I can't understand is I not even able
to get an internet connect let alone a homepage. All I
get is 'Unable to display page'. I've checked with my ISP
and they said that they can see the connection however,
they also said that its the router not letting you out.
There must be another way run this problem surely...

Thanks anyway,
Robyn
