I use my HP desktop (MS-XP) as the server left on and hard wired to HP pSC
950 Printer. My HP laptop works with the Linksys router for internet, but
now doesn't work to print from the laptop. It did previously with some help
from HP but they won't help now. Any suggestions?

Have you set a firewall on the desktop? You also need to have the printer
shared on the desktop.

Michael,

Yes a Norton firewall exists on both but I disable them the same way I did
before. The MS firewall I guess still exists but it supposedly supports the
sharing when I say "share the Printer". There may be some confusion with the
name of the computer. It was working beforeafter HP helped, but they don't
want to now. Thanks

It is probably the XP firewall.
