wireless network

I have been using my 802.11 wireless network for awhile.
After a XP home update, my wireless connection will not
work. I want to go into the Network connections and
telll the system not to use windows to configure, but the
wireless option does not even show up. Is there a back
way to do this? What else can I do?

It would help to know what XP Home update you installed? This update may have over
written a needed file that the wireless adapter needs. Perhaps reinstalling the
adapter drivers will help.
