Is it possible to use the broadcom 802.11b/g wireless adapter built into
my laptop to set up wireless networking with my desktop computers at
home? Lee

You will need an access router because two clients (your laptop and desktop)
cannot connect wirelessly to each other.
linksys, netgear and other companies have cheap access routers

thought but wasn't sure. Thanks, Lee
Thats what I

Yes, this is what is known as an "ad-hoc" network. It can be done but I
have found it much easier to use a router and have both clients connect to
it instead.
