Wireless network problem

I connot connect to a wireless network at my hotel. it says that is it an
unsecured network i try to conntect anyways and it says it fails to connect
do to unknown reasons i need help for this asap
anybody knows anything plz help

Are you sure the hotel let you use the wireless free? unsecured network doesn't mean any one can use it, for example, the wireless may setup Mac filter. Also some hotels may restrict the connections to prevent heavy traffic.

yes the wireless is free and i have my other laptop that im using in my hotel
now but its XP Pro and it works fine but i put a wireless network card in the
vista laptop and now i can get to the network but can i change something so i
can use my onboard wireless network card its a atheros wireless card
