Both the "Connect to..." that comes up in the start menu and the wireless
icon that is supposed to show up in network connections (control panel) have
disappeared. As has the wireless icon in the tray.

Can't find 'em anywhere! And they used to be there, I swear. So I can't
change anything configuration-wise becuz I can't find it.

Any ideas about where the heck they went and how I can get them back??

Thanks

In your device manager, do you have a wireless connection? Also verify your
Wireless Zero Configuration service is started.
Start > run > cmd > sc wzcsvc start

yep, it's still there in the device manager. tried the other suggestion you
gave, but it said it's an unrecognized command.

i went ahead and did a system restore and the wireless icon is back in the
tray on the bottom right, but the "connect to" that used to be in the start
menu still isn't there. but at least i can get to the wireless connection
now!

still really confused about where the heck they went though and why. and
worried that it'll happen again!

thanks for your help!
