Recently purchased a new Dell PC running windows XP. I
did not know that XP contained the drivers for my Orinoco
wireless card so I installed the drivers from the Orinoco
software disk first. That resulted in the wireless card
not functiong properly. To attempt to fix the problem, I
uninstalled the Orinoco software and driver, then
uninstalled the wireless card. I also rolled by the
driver in the device manager for the wireless card. After
restarting the machine, the wireless card was working
again.
But, I still cannot access some features of the wireless
network properties, such as the "Wireless Connections"
tab, that should show up as part of the Wireless
Connections properties window. The tab is not visible.
Under another tab, the "Advanced" button is greyed out.
Is there any way to restore these features short of
reinstalling windows XP?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
