WinXP SP-2 IE6

I have used my laptop while traveling and have not had any problem while
traveling except one coffee shop in a small town where I spend a lot of
time. The router assigns me an IP address but I cannot get my browser
to connect. Other users seem to have no problem. I have set my browser
security settings to medium (as low as will be accepted) and same for
privacy. I am not sure what other settings in Advanced should be set or
could be set that might be causing me to not be able to log on through
the LAN even though I am clearly connected to the LAN.

Thanks in advance,
Ken K

can you ping a public IP? if yes, can you ping yahoo.com? also posting the result of ipconfig /all may help.

Hi Ken,

Please see my reply to your other post. If you must multi-post, please use the
same subject and name.

Sorry. I kept waiting for the message to post and I never saw it. I
was receiving requests from my mail client for my password, so I thought
that perhaps I had had a problem with my connection. I re-posted and
still did not find this thread until now.
