I inheritd a Dell notebook with built-in wireless card. When I log in with
the previous guy's username, the wireless can hook up to the router in the
office. But when I created a new username and login, wireless connection is
lost. After repeated attemps to create a new network connection, finally gave
up. Is this something to do with digital signature and all that crap? Network
connection thru cable LAN works with this new username.

Help me, Obi-Wan!

Hi
It is probably all of this Crap! ;)
You need to know the parameters of the Wireless source.
If it is work related ask the IT person.

Sounds like a work computer to me. You likely don't have permission to do
that on your own account. You have to ask the I.T. person at work to put
your details in their network no doubt.

The previous guy WAS the IT guy! management is considering outsourcing IT
services. I figured with a degree in electronics, if I could figure this out,
here is my chance to move ahead ;-). Guess I was wrong...
By sheer luck I managed to get into the wirless router's setup page, it is a
3com 11mps access point. after going thru the configuration I don't see any
user restriction settings. The office has a peer to peer network, there isn't
any domain controller. So the trick must be in Win XP, or is it?
