I have been running Winzip 8.0 on Windows 95 & 98 for sometime. I now have
WindowsXP and my question is: Would it be OK to install Winzip 8.0 on this
system?

Thanks in advance for your help,
Bill

Worked fine on mine. Why not upgrade to 9.0? WinZip ungrades are free
"forever" if you pay for it once.

Thanks for your help and suggestion. I thought about upgrading to 9.0 but I
only use zip about twice a year and 8.0 has worked great for me for years.
Hate to fix something that isn't broken, but, I was concerned about it being
compatable with XP.

Thanks again...Bill

Actually there is a Winzip 8.1. I keep 8.0 around since it is the last
one that the install would fit on a a floppy. Both 8.0 and 9.1 run just
fine on XP. 9.0 just came out of beta and you will have to look on the
web site to find out what it does differently or additionally.

It will be fine - provided of course that you have a license for it

I decent free alternative to Winzip is Quickzip. Very similar in many
respects to Winzip.
