Hi,
I have a 120GB Harddisk from Seagate and I have the
following partitions (using Partition Magic 7.0):
C: Win2000, NTFS, 5GB, Primary, Active
D: WinXp, NTFS, 25GB, Extended, Logical
E: Programs, NTFS, 30GB, Extended, Logical
F: Files, NTFS, Rest (55-60GB), Extended, Logical
I installed Win 2000 first on C: and then a new
installation of XP on D:
When I boot the computer,(Using the boot menu from
Microsoft) in Windows 2000 it has no errors at all.
Sometimes when I boot with Win XP the computer reboots,
reboots etc... and sometimes no problems at all.
I have changed the following hardware and then
reinstalled both operating systems without any problems:
Mainboard, DDR Ram, Harddisk.
Both operating systems were ok.
I connected the old harddisk and wanted to copy my data
over. Using 2000 no problems, Booted with XP the same
again. Removed the harddisk and still had the same
problems.
Can any one please help. I need both operating systems
as one of our test programs does not run on XP.
Thanks in advance for any help.
