My system stopped working for a bit (it turned itself off and wouldn't
reboot at all), but after leaving it off for a while (maybe it was a heat
issue), it came up OK. But when it rebooted, it said that it found new
hardware: a Multimedia Audio controller, and then it prompted me to install
the driver. The driver install never worked, either connecting to the
internet or pointing to the audio card drivers I already have. I also
reinstalled the audio card (SBLive) drivers again, but that had no effect.
Everything seems to be working just fine, sounds are fine, but in the device
manager it shows a yellow question mark next to 'Other devices' and then in
the tree node below that Multimedia Audio controller. I tried removing that
device and then rebooting, but it goes through the found new hardware deal
again.
Any idea what's going on here or if I should just ignore this 'error' in the
device manager?
