Would anybody know if SP3 will include a feature to allow
downloading/installing M/S security updates (patches) and WinDef updates in
Limited User Account?

Of course it won't. Admins do not need users messing around with the
system. Think of the implications.

Unlikely. That is the point of a limited user account.

Well, I disagree with your point. You may wish to re-read various KB's in
relation to LUA.
My AV/A-S apps can be updated in LUA. When installing you just click 'all
users'.
SP3 should in my view include at least some kind of a 'Run As' feature
specifically for downloading/installing M/S security patches as well as for
WinDef updates.

That's an APPLICATION. Entirely different from updating the OS.

Why should it? Security patches update the OPERATING SYSTEM, not
applications. It's a basic tenet of computer security that all kernel
updates be done by an Administrator....

Limited User accounts have no business performing administrative level
tasks. EVER.

There always has been that. You can always run IE as Admin, for Windows
Updates, by right-clicking the Windows Update icon. Of course you need to
know the Administrator account password to do this, as it is a
administrative task.

Since updates can have verifiable "signatures,"
would it not be possible for some policy to exist
which might allow automatic application of updates
signed by MS, if an Admin had pre-authorized such action?

Our servers even update themselves overnight, with _no_one_ logged in at all,
announcing to the next person who logs in that the update already occurred,
so why couldn't an update proceed even while a "limited" user was logged in?
