WinXP Pro Access Denied to Old User Folder

I was hoping that there might be an XP Pro guru on here that could help me figure this out.

I had a system crash where I blew away some drivers and my machine became unbootable. So I reinstalled WinXP Pro and figured it would be a completely clean install. Well, when I looked in the "Documents and Settings" folder, the old user folder is still there sitting right next to the new user folder that got created when I reinstalled

When I try to access or delete the old user folder, it balks saying access denied. What gives?? I'm logged in as the admin to my WinXP box so shouldn't I be able to, at the very least, look at the folder

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks..
