My laptop starts up normal but while its loading winxp it gives me a
blue screen and then restarts. I need to recover the info and emails on
the laptop.

What is the problem. i've tried everything i know, going into safemode,
last known good config but the same thing happens.

Hi,

What does the blue screen say? The details can go a long ways towards
pointing out what's wrong.

i can't stop the screen to read whats wrong. i pressed F8 on start up
and selected do not restart computer when crashes, but it still does
the same thing.

is it my file system that crashed.

The blue screen must have some error code.Kindly post back with that
information.

the screen says something about "unmoutble boot volume"

Does this mean my file system is dead?

this is not the same sys. i've repaired my system with a repair, but on
my laptop i don't have the option to repair windows.

it looks like my NTFS file system has crashed because it shows the
harddrive with a unkw file system. how do i recover the emails from the
computer. the other info is not important, but the emails is very
important.

Is the a program that recovers file systems or repairs the file system.

Hi,

How do you know it is the file system if the message screen passes too fast
to read it?

Hi,

Did you do any work on the system recently? Switch any hardware?

If not, then I would boot with the WinXP CD and hit 'r' when first prompted
to logon to the Recovery Console. From the prompt, run "chkdsk c: /r" and
allow the disk checker to run (it may take quite some time).
