I just upgraded my OS from 98 to XP pro, and my modem does
not work anymore. I have a Creative,blaster V92 serial. I
have downloaded the driver from the manufacturer, and
installed them, but I always get the same message saying
that my com1 (modem is connected to com1) is unavailable
or used by another application. When I run a diagnostic on
the server, it fails (cannot find the modem).
I need help!!!

Do not assume that the modem is COM 1.. find the 'System Information' applet
and run it.. click on 'components' then 'modem'.. this will tell you which
com port your modem is using.. then go thru setting it up again..
