Has anyone noticed if Win XP Home crashes more than Win XP Professional? I
have rarely (like once or twice in over a year) seen a blue screen (BSOD) on
a XP Pro installation. However, my dad, running XP Home, gets a BSOD every
other day...

I built his and my PC's, and I have no problem with Pro. True, the hardware
is not identical... But I've never seen Pro crash this much.

I'd appreciate any help anyone could give me on this...

TIA,

Steven;
Since the code is nearly identical, with performance and stability
identical, there is another cause.
possibly hardware related, bad connection, memory, bad driver etc.

Saddly, My crashes are in XP Pro are caused by Norton System works. I have 3 PCs, 2k (home made), XP Pro Laptop (dell) and a 2k Large desktop (home made). My blue screen problems have started ever since I loaded NSW 2004 on the large machine. All the hardware/software was working perfictly fine I tested it using Tuff Test.
My list of hardware i
Stand Motherboard, SCSI card, CanoScan FS4000US, Sound Blaster Audaogly(sp), N Force 5600 video card, pretty normal stuff

Interesting thing is all my Blue Screen happen when you go to login via the icon??

I hope something help here.

I need to fix that last message my Large machine that is crashing on start up is XP pro not 2K.
