WinXP Home Upgrade

I have a Win98SE computer to upgrade to WinXP Home. Is it
possible to do a clean (delete existing partition and
install like a new computer) install from a WinXP Home
Upgrade version? Will it just prompt for the qualifying
previous system--like other upgrades do?

I started to just do it, but now I'm having second
thoughts. Thanks to anyone who has done this and says OK,
you can.

Yes. The upgrade version will do a clean install and offer to reformat the hard
drive/partition. It WILL ask you to provide media from a qualifying version of
Windows. Be prepared to provide it.
