Hello. I have a system running Windows XP Home edition and am trying to share the internet connection with another computer running Windows 2000 Professional. The system running Home edition has 2 NIC cards. One is connected to a DSL modem. This system connects to the internet with no problems. The second NIC card is connected to the Windows 2000 system by way of a LAN switch, and cannot connect to the internet at all. This configuration did work at one time, but no longer does after a reinstallation of Windows XP. I have spent 2 hours attempting every possible configuration change I could come up with, but cannot get the job done. Both systems have all of the latest service packs and drivers available. Is there anyone out there who might have a solution for this?

Hi,

Your IP addresses for the two cards may be conflicting. See:

Connection Sharing Host Does Not Work

For further questions, you should take this up in the networking group here:

Check your XP Internet Connection firewall is disabled
The ICF is only designed to be used on individual isolated pc's NOT with a
LAN
