WinXP Explorer - Save "folders" nav pane

Hi, I've enabled and disabled everything that looks like it might keep this
setting. Every time I open Explorer, I want the folder navigation enabled.
I ALWAYS have to click the folders button as it is now. I know this used to
work, but I can't find a setting anywhere that seems to help. I've also
searched the knowledge base and the internet in general but the keywords I'm
using are apparently too generic for such a simple setting and NOTHING I can
find suggests a solution. Does anyone have an easy fix? Thanks, Scott
 
In My Computer click Tools menu, and then click Options. Click the File Types
tab.In the list of file types, highlight "(NONE) Folders" Click Advanced
button, In the Actions box, highlight "Explore" Click "Set Default"
