Kind regards,

If you are running XP Pro , the you will have no problems setting up a
network of 9 PCs.

You will need to configure the network in a Star Network configuration in
which you have a central 10/100 network switch in which the 9 PCs and the
sever is connected to it , each computer and server are connected to the
network switch using a 10/100 Ethernet network card.

With this type of network , you can also set up a cheap low end computer as
a print server that also connects to the central network switch and will
service all of the 9 PCs.

The limit on simultaneous connections is ten for XP Professional and five
for XP Home.
