Winword.exe remains active in Task List

Winword.exe process remains active in Task List using 30000-75000kb even
though the application has been closed. How can i stop this from happening
other than closing the process in the task pane.

Hi Steve

Perhaps something else is using Word, even after you close it. For example,
if you use Word as the editor for emails in Outlook, Word will stay running
so Outlook can use it.

You can turn this off in Outlook if you choose. In Outlook, Tools > Options

Mail Format. Un-tick the two relevant boxes.
