Winword error

Each time I open a new document and go to the "save as"
screen I get the following error message as soon as I re-
name the doc. "This program has performed an illegal
operation & will shut down. If problem persists contact
the vendor" Can anyone help me with this? Thank you

So why don't you contact the vendor?
