With Outlook you could paste HTML with images from FrontPage. With
WinMail you lose the image links and all you get is an empty square
where the image should be. You have to manually reinsert the images.

The Progress Bar never updates when doing a message search.

Is there a chance that MS will fix these bugs or should we be looking
for another Email client such as Thunderbird?

Microsoft is putting most of their email effort towards a new program,
Windows Live Mail, so it's more likely to get the improvements than
Windows Mail.

Is WinMail set to send HTML mail by default?
In the HTML Settings for mail is "Include pictures with messages" checked?

Does the Windows Live Mail just install right over the Windows Email that
comes with Vista?

And to confirm, I will be able to "paste" in screen shots and pictures sort
of like I used to with "Outlook"?

Thanks

It installs as a separate program, and hides Windows Mail but does not
remove it.

I don't know about the pictures. You can find more people who have
used it in newsgroup:

Yes I have that check mark "checked". It would seem that would be the fix;
but it does nothing (if fact it was checked before I even got to the sceen).

Seems there is a bug in WinMail?

After looking into the WinMail vs Windows Live Mail........it appears that
"Live" is a web base email..........so I not interested in that (at least
that is what "the" lady at Microsoft told me)

No, Windows Live Mail can use POP accounts as well as Hotmail accounts.

Not true. Windows Live Mail does everything that WM does (POP, IMAP,
newsgroups), plus it adds the ability to handle Hotmail accounts.

WLM allows you to paste images (.jpg), but I don't know about pasting
HTML code.
