Hi,

1. McAfee Virus scan 6 says I have a virus in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\winlogon.exe\winlogon.exe

2. Virus is Start Page CS

3. I can not clean or quaranteen the file, but McAfee receommends deleting the file and replacing it.

4. How do I do this?

Open a command prompt (Start > Run > cmd)
type cd\
Open task manager (Ctrl + Alt + Del)
Kill explorer.exe from task manager

In the command prompt, type:
del "C:\Documents and settings\All Users\Start
Menu\Programs\Startup\winlogon.exe\winlogon.exe" (using quotation
marks)
Open a new task in task manager ---> explorer.exe

If no joy, try to delete it from safe mode (F8)

I have three winlogon.exe:
in
Windows\System32
\NT$SErvicePackUninstall$
\Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386

So the only legit winlogon.exe should be in these folders, the one you
have there is bogus.

Good luck
