Windowx XP usb cable modem :(

I am currently sending this messages from win98.
My modem works perfectly on 98.

I have an xp installation the modem does get recognized. I have the
networking setup and its working.

I have one small problem.

The connection is ok for lets say about 3 minutes. After that the cable
modem connection just dies down.

I cannot open any we page and the network actitvity goes down to 0.
I heard people have similar problems on an xp machine?

Is there a particular patch I can downlaod?

Any help greatly appereciated.

I get that problem too. Nearly 10 times a day I will lose my net
connection and look over and see the light on my cable modem that
indicates a connection to the computer is off. I am so sick and tired
of rebooting so much. Nothing else restores the connection. I hope
someone here has some info on what it may be.
