I bought a WindowsXP Professional from a retailer store
and installed to my Desktop and I just bought a Laptop
recently. Can I use the same Production Key to load
WindowsXP Professional to my Laptop? If not, What should
I do?
Please send me information via email.
Thanks,
Thu Pham.

Simple answer is No. If you want to install XP on your laptop you need to
purchase another copy of Windows XP. You cannot use the copy you purchased
for your desktop on two pc. The licence agreement only allows XP to be
installed On *one* pc. The only way around this is a volume licence the
minimum of which is 5 licences. This, obviously is not for you.

No, you cannot use it again. You need to buy a new license to install it on
your laptop.
Email support is chargeable. You want it, you pay!

It will cost you $10 to learn the answer via email, but free via nntp. Your
choice (the nntp answer is already posted).

Greetings --

If you remove WinXP from the desktop, yes. Otherwise, no.

As it has *always* been with *all* Microsoft operating
systems, it's necessary (to be in compliance with the EULA, if not
technically) to purchase one WinXP license for each computer on which
it is installed. The only way in which WinXP licensing differs from
that of earlier versions of Windows is that Microsoft has finally
added a copy protection and anti-theft mechanism, Product Activation,
to prevent (or at least make more difficult) multiple installations
using a single license

You can, however, buy additional licenses, assuming you have a
retail license. Naturally, Microsoft cannot sell additional OEM
licenses. Be aware, however, that you'll probably pay more this way
than you would if you were to buy a second copy of WinXP from a
discount retailer; Microsoft will only offer you a 15% discount off
their MSRP.

No. Windows is licensed on a basis of one copy - one machine. It is
MSOffice that has a 'desktop plus laptop' concession.
If not, What should I do?

Buy another copy.

Sure! Go ahead and re-use that key; it will install fine.

You won't be able to activate it though.

Buy another license.
