hallo,
every time when i press the windowskey + e, i get an
errormessage, and the taskbar got a reset.

errormessage in german is.

TITEL:
"explorer.exe - fehler in der anwendung"

Text:

This key combination is programmed in Windows to launch Explorer.
Sounds like the system can't find Explorer. Is it there? Is there a
path (environment variable) problem?

I don't know where the setting/control for this key combination is
stored or controlled. Sorry.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

rms

yes i know the funktion.

path is
"%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;C:\Programme\Windows
Resource Kits\Tools\;%SystemRoot%\System32
\Wbem;C:\tools\sys\AINTX;"C:\Programme\Symantec\Norton
Ghost 2003\"
nothing special i think, should be ok.

and i am shure that explorer.exe is there, i think it's
my shell. ;-)

I don't know German, but translated the German via Google. I got the
impression that there is some sort of error re the memory allocation.
Has explorer.exe file become corrupted? Maybe try a repair? Does
explorer work by simpling running it? Don't have any other ideas.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

rms

no its not corrupt everything else is fine, i only can't
start explorer.exe with this "normal" hotkey, all other
hotkey are ok. the same error comes up when i rightclick
on any folder under startmenu/programs/* and select
explorer to browse the startmenuentries,

even if i have only 1(one) entry left in the startmenu,
the same error

all other progs or funktions are ok, but not windowskey +
e
