About a week ago I came across a website with various old windows
operating systems, DOS, Win3.1/WFWorkgroups3.11, Win95A/B/C, Win98se
w/all updates up to the 30 June 2006 deadline, WinME etc.

I did not bookmarked this site and after fruitless searches I decided to
ask for help here in locating such site, I need to locate it in order to
get the Wind98se CD for research purposes. eBay has such CD's for sale
but not as complete as this site has.

Does anybody here has knowledge about this particular website URL???

Thanks very much for your help,

If you are using IE as your browser then you can click on the History icon
and then click on Last Week. If you are using another browser it may have a
history function. If such a site exists, and it is offering full versions of
these operating systems, then it is infringing copyright, but that's none of
my business.

Well, I don't know about that, eBay is quite full of people selling
certified packages with original keys, never been used, they say?,
that's not of my business either, I do have my own copy of Win98se, but
what I really need, it's all the upgrades/patches that I neglected to
aquire over the years, that's why I was interested in this particular
guy website.

As for the history file, I delete that and cookies every night, so, so
much for that, I guess I will just keep on looking.

Thanks

Any website outside Microsoft distributing Microsoft operating systems is
illegitimate and should be avoided.
It is possible Microsoft had the site closed as they do when they can.

All the Windows 98 updates are currently still available at Microsoft's
website.

Since this is a Windows XP newsgroup, you should ask for further information
in the win98 newsgroups:

Nice site, but a bit expensive for me, except for the OEM version at
$53.00, thanks.

If you just want the updates, somebody has compiled a "unnoficial 98SE
service pack 2). Google "Unnoficial service" and you should be able to
find it -- it's not the top link.

Enjoy.
