i tried to use windows xp media center edition to connect to a windows xp
computer through a network and i cant because of access privileges or
something contact your admin is there something i did wrong i ran the network
setup wizard that worked fine but what did i do wrong

Dean,

The old "... access denied ..." message can have many causes.

One of the most common causes would be a misconfigured or overlooked personal
firewall, or other security component. There are several other possibilities
though.

We could look at "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" from each computer, so we
can diagnose the problem. Read this article, and linked articles, and follow
instructions precisely (download browstat!):
