i had a problem with my windows xp and i got it fix but now when i was fixing
the issue i did installed a 2nd xp from my os recovery cd how can i erase one
without loosing anything or just tell me how to remove the 2nd xp that i
dont need

Hi there,

Installing a second WinXP wil result in a different installation directory.
To remove the one you dont use anymore you have to do 2 things:

1. Start the WinXP version you want to keep. Now delete the installation
directory of the other WinXP. You can see your actual directory by selecting
START -> Run. then type CMD and press Ok. In the back box type SET W
Behind the text Windir= .... your current XP directory is displayed, do not
delete this one.
2. Change the BOOT.INI file to get rid of the start-up screen. The BOOT.INI
file is a hidden system file remaining on the root of (probably) C: drive

If you dont have a clue what I am talking about, then leave it the way it
is. Don't mess with a working thing if you dont know what you are doing ;-)
