My windows xp is acting up I think some stuff is missing in my registry. I
tryed cleaning and fixing the regestry but no good. It wont let me restore,
and when i try to reinstall windows xp it says i have a newer version. what
can i do?

Uninstall SP2 if your CD is SP1, uninstall SP1 if your CD is SP0, then
try to reinstall or slipstream a copy of XP to SP2.
