Hi, please I need some help I have a windows XP pro and small workgroup
contains only 3 PCs one of the PCs couldn't see the other PCs but when I
give it a static IP it works fine so please how can I solve this problem.
Thanks in advance

give them a static ip address ;p
otherwiese: do you have an dhcp server running? if not: set one up.
If teh computers are the same all the time: give them a static address.

I don't have dhcp server and even I don't have a server at all it is only 3
PCs on a workgroup.

so give them static ip adresses and be happy :)
otherwise: if one is running 24/7 set a dhcp server up. But might be an
overkill for 3 hosts

actually in Local area connection in Internet protocol (TCP/IP) I choose
obtain an IP address automatically but now when I checked IPCONFIG I
discoverd that there is IP address infront of autoconfiguration IP address
and subnet Mask 255.255.0.0 but there is no ip on Default Gateway despite of
as I told you in the begening that I choosed Obtain an IP address
automatically. So is this hacking.

That sounds ok, because it obtains an ip adresse, but does not knwo
which computer is the gateway. suusally the dhcp server can tell it. In
your case you have to set the default gateway manually at the network
settings.
