windows xp won't load up sometimes.

I had windows xp home edit. installed in jan this year. Some times when I start it up, it won't load. so I'll have to shut it down, and do it again. it might take me 2 or 3 times to get it loaded up.some times when it loads up, the monitor won't come on. so I have to re booth it again to load it back up. some times it just load just part way and then stop. Then I have to re booth it again to load up. Would my video card be causeing this??? our can someone help me

Could be your videocard or your power supply, post your machine specs for a
better idea.
