Hi

My laptop has been running REALLY slowly lately. Now it won't boot up. It
seems to be stuck on Windows XP logo. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Unfortunately, you haven't provided enough information for anyone to
give you focused troubleshooting. The problem could be caused by either
hardware or software, or both. There isn't any way to tell.

Please go to this link to see what kind of information to provide in
your newsgroup post:

Then come back with all necessary details and someone will help you.

Hi

I regularly post questions for help. I don't need to go back to basics! What
I've posted is exactly what happened - no more no less. If there is
information you particularly need, perhaps you could just tell me what it
is?But don't worry if you can't help. I'll figure it out myself.

Actually, you do.

That's impossible.

Well, what were you doing before this happened would help. Did you
install/uninstall a program? Change hardware? Drop it on the floor?
Visit sex sites?
But don't worry if you can't help. I'll figure it out myself.

If you can figure it out yourself, why come here? I will tell you,
however, that Malke gives excellent advice and you just lost a very good
source for help and information.

I have a similar problem. If I disconnect power (sometimes necessary)
the cabinet lights up when I press the button but nothing appears on the
screen although the small light is on.
Anyone know the answer to the problem ?

Based on the wealth of information you've provided - it would seems to
indicate you have a problem.
