windows xp wireless problem

the setup of my wireless is ok however when i click on the internet browser
icon in desk top the internet doesn't lauch, but when i go to the wireless
properties it shows that the computer is connected to the internet, i am
using wap and i have configured my computer so the key is provided for me
automatically I don't know what to do I have tried all configuration options
but nothing works help out please

I would not be absolutely sure of that. Since you are having a
problem, something must be wrong someplace.

I have found "The World of Windows Networking" to a be really useful
source of guidance. You might verify that your network is set up in
the way WWN recommends.

I do not understand what you said. The Internet does not have to
launch. It is always in existence, waiting for people to connect to
it. You may mean that Internet Explorer does not start. Or, you may
mean that Internet Explorer does not connect to the Internet.

Does Internet Exlorer run?

Can your computer see your router or modem? Go to Start/Run and enter
"CMD". When you get a DOS prompt, enter "ipconfig /all". You should
see an ip address for your computer under the heading of Ethernet
Adapter Local Area Connection. You should see an ip address under the
headings of Default Gateway and DHCP Server.
