Hi all,
I'm having the most trouble I've ever had with my
computer. This is how it goes: I downloaded SP2 Monday.
Everything ran very smoothly, no problems at all.
Wednesday night I start seeing the internet cut out every
now and then. Now today, when using the internet I get an
error sporder.dll missing cannot connect to the internet.
Lots of errors started to occur, so I decided to restore
point back to just before I installed SP2. In doing so my
computer froze up. Have no other option after waiting an
hour, I restarted. XP will not boot. I did F8 none of the
options there will get windows to work. In its boot up
process I get "RPCSS is startin..." then an error pops up
saying, "Since Windows was first activatd on this
computer, the hardware on the computer has changed
significantly. Due to these changes, windows must be
reactivated within 3 days. Do you want to reactivate
Windows now? ". When I click "Yes" the computer just
freezes up, and nothing loads. I can't reinstall from the
disk, nor can I get to the command promt to format.
Any ideas on how to fix this problem? Any help would be
SOO gladly obliged!!!

Thanks,
Justin

You'll need to boot to xp cd,set youre cdrom as 1st priority in the BIOS,
once it boots, select recovery, press enter key for password,at cmd screen
type:CHKDSK C: /R When its thru type:EXIT As the page changes,tap youre
key to re-enter and reset the BIOS.If xp loads youre thru,if not, reboot to
cd,
select install xp,you can try repair this copy,or new copy, new copy defiently
works,a repair might...

I'm reinstalling right now. I came across a block though,
the "getIMUS" error couldn't load msdart.dll and it
freezes there. I can't get around it. any ideas?
