I have used Windows XP for several years. But as I learned more and more, I
need more and more sotware to install. So my XP become very slow.
I have to reinstall XP several month and it's really a bad job.

So I want to change to Windows 2003.

My question is : Can 2003 do a better job than XP?

Below is the software list I needed.

(snip long list of pretty normal software)

Windows 2003 is a server operating system. You don't need a server
operating system. XP Pro can run all those programs. You probably need
to make sure your computer is properly maintained and you need a fast
processor, big fast hard drive(s), and lots of RAM. You didn't mention
the hardware specs of your computer. I wouldn't want to be running
those apps on a Compaq Presario for instance.

Not for what you want to do. XP will work better. You have to figure out
what you are doing wrong to cause all the re-installs.

I notice the (long) list of apps didn't include any AV or malware
removers. Don't know if that was intentional, but if the OP doesn't have
any, that could well be why his machine is running slow!

Kaspersky was in the list.
