Windows XP upgrade

I have updated my operating system to Windows XP from
Windows 98. In the process, I have lost all my emails
and my address book. How can I restore them back to
Outlook?

I'd appreciate any help,

After making certain that you can view hidden files, do a search for any
files with a .pst extension. That/those will be your data file(s).
