You can get SP2 for Windows XP Professional off the Microsoft website. There
are two ways to install it:
1. Use Windows Update.
2. Download the full SP2 (network version) and use that executable to do the
update.

We had a computer come to us that appears to be pirated. They had
windows 98, a computer consultant installed a non legal copy of xp
pro sp1. The home user knows no difference. The cost to them is 100
difference. If it was possible to upgrade using Home sp2, then that
would be great.

Then you will have to do a "clean" installation of XP Home as there is no
official "upgrade" path from Pro to Home. You might consider making use of
the Files and Settings transfer wizard if possible ..
